The Anderson County Chapter of the South Carolina Genealogical Society is proud to announce the opening of our Family Research Room.  Genealogical researchers now have four research sources in downtown Anderson.

          1. The South Carolina Room at the County Library (864-260-4500)

          2. The Anderson County Museum (864-260-4737)

          3. The LDS Library (864-225-4050)

          4. The Anderson County Family Research Room (864-221-3936)

At our center, volunteers are available to assist Beginner Researchers.

The Director of the Convention and Visitor's Bureau has graciously given us space to house our Family Research Room (see How to Find Us) in the Visitors Center which is located  in the beautiful Anderson Arts Center Warehouse at 110 Federal St., Anderson.

Please note that at the present we are open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 10:00AM-5:00PM & Saturday 10:00 AM-2:00 PM

We also have many chapter publications, which may be purchased during your visit. We are especially delighted  to offer our 2008 Anderson County Heritage Book.

We invite you to share copies of your family history with us.
